Suddenly it’s upon me. How does this always happen? I have an idea about entering a race months before it starts, and in a moment of madness I sign up for it. Well it’s now just 4 days away. The weather is set to be cold and raining. Not much I can do about that. But am I prepared?

There are actually quite a lot of cycling orientated websites out there. Some are easy to find, some are not so easy. Here’s my list of the sites that I use and enjoy on a daily basis. It would be great if you could add your own to the mix as I’m always looking for more.

Somewhere, someday, there had to be a cycling revolution on the internet. The time is now and the place is here. Well, to be precise, the place is over at IronLegs.co.uk. IronLegs.co.uk is a new community driven website where cycling blog authors can post links to their new articles and cycling article readers can post links to any great new cycling related article that they have discovered on the internet.

No-one can deny that cycling in the winter is tough, especially for us U.K. residents. Facing the wind, rain and cold is horrible (and that’s just the summer :)). Are you a beginner road cyclist? If so then great – it’s always a pleasure to know that new cyclists just getting into the sport are checking out my site. It’s also great to know that more people are getting into road cycling and cycling in general, in a big way. I think the Olympic success of last year and this years success in the Tour de France with Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins doing so well, is really giving British cycling a massive boost. But if you’re new to the sport and you’re on the internet then no doubt you are looking for some information to get you started…

I have to admit that I’m a bit of a sucker when it comes to the whole urban fixie revolution. Some of those bikes look so damn cool. I know I shouldn't fall for it but I can’t help liking shiny things. I don’t mind the look of my bike but it’s more functional than anything else. The thing is, for the money, it’s a great frame and the forks are awesome for winter riding as they have vibration dampening zertz inserts. The aluminium frame is pretty light too. So I don’t want to change the bike.

Daily Cycle is a great fun to write for, I love road cycling and I’m enjoying the steady build up of cyclists and people with common interests who now read this blog on a daily basis. But I’m also a freelance web developer, I just got married and now I have a baby on the way! So needless to say, I don’t exactly have loads of time on my hands. So I’m looking for a couple of people to join the blog as article writers, read on if you’re interested…

To be honest, I’m amazed that Chris Boardman hasn’t released a Time Trial specific bike. Through Halfords he has given us some beautiful road bikes, including a fixed wheel bike. And since Chris Boardman was a master of the time Trial, I would have expected him to knock out a TT bike. Saying that, the 2009 Chris Boardman bikes having a very race oriented geometry so will probably fair quite well round a 10 mile TT. If you’re looking for a cheap way to get involved with Time Trialling then there is one major thing you need and that is…
