Simpleton Software is a new project that I am working on. The website is a launch pad for the various easy to use set of tools that I intend to release this year. The website currently doesn’t show much other than details about the Simpleton Software Blog which has also just been launched.
Well, obviously I’ll be discussing the applications that I release, but primarily the blog is intended to showcase easy to use, simple intuitive applications. Whoever they are made by. They may be desktop apps or web apps or even mobile apps. The point is that there are so many tools out there, some are easy to use, most however are not so. This tends to put less technical people off, which is a shame because there really is a lot of great stuff out there that is incredibly useful and fun. This blog aims to bridge that gap.
Software should be so intuitive that a simpleton could use it!
Who is the blog intended for?
Well, it’s intended for people who are not necessarily technophobes but are a bit daunted by using new software and applications. It’s also intended for people who make applications, it should give some help and guidance when considering usability for website and applications. There is also the opportunity for developers to have their new applications reviewed (free of charge!) which can be a great way to get their stuff out there.
When can we expect the exciting new tools to be released?
Well, I’m currently in full time employment and have a new baby so whilst progress is being made it is not as rapid as I would like. But I’m in no rush, I would rather release quality work than rushed work. Rest assured it’ll be announced when the time comes.
For now, please check out the Simpleton Software Blog. I hope you like it. Its a simple design (for obvious reasons).
Happy cycling.
